Beer #4991 took me to Hogshead Brewery in Denver — a place that holds a special spot in my personal beer history because the head brewer and co-owner is my good friend Robert Bell, who also happens to be the former head brewer from our days at FanDraught Sports Brewery.
So yeah… walking in here felt a little like visiting family. The kind of family that just happens to make outstanding beer.
Hogshead has built a reputation in Colorado for doing something that’s surprisingly rare in the American craft scene: proper British-style cask ales. Not a token hand-pull sitting lonely in the corner. Not a novelty. This place leans into cask culture in a big way.

Brewing is not easy. Running a brewery is even harder.
But when passion meets skill and a clear vision — like it has here — the results speak for themselves.
